Since it seems not many people read far enough in the original Site News thread to see the updated information regarding the crash, I decided I would make it a new post.
Hi All,
Unfortunately everything I've tried so far has failed completely so I'm unable to rebuild the drive or retrieve any data off it, which majorly sucks :( :(
I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise for this happening, and ask that creators please try and resubmit everything. At the moment all threads are stored in a special area which I will make publically accessable so that people can update with pics and files.
Again, apologies for this happening - it's out of my control but it really affects the site in a big way, so lets hope we can rebuild it to be even better
Regards
Delphy
What Delphy is talking about is the Lost Thread Archive. (http://sexysims2.com/forumdisplay.php?f=476) All the lost downloads are stored in this section of the site and we are asking creators to please reupload their creations so we can build the site back up to where it used to be.
To reupload your creation simply click the edit button. It will bring up the edit screen in which you can click the "Manage Attachments" button to reupload your creation.
If you are concerned over losing your counter for the # of downloads your object has, follow these directions. When doing "Manage Attachments" simply reupload your file with the exact same filename/file type. Do not "remove" your original file. By uploading a file with the same name it will replace the original file. This will keep your download counter intact. All "thanks" will also be restored once the thread is moved back to the download area.
Once you've reuploaded your file, post in the Sticky in the Lost Thread Archive forum. (http://sexysims2.com/showthread.php?t=167154) Include a link to your file and what area it should go in (meshes/hacks/clothing.. etc.) A moderator will then move it to the appropriate section after ensuring that the download works.
Thank you and I hope to see all the creations back in full swing soon.

It needs to be done through MTS2 as paypal is stupid and won't let adult-content sites use it. http://www.modthesims2.com/donate.php

The love bed file works fine. If you are simply talking about the invisible recolor you can contact the creator Pfish and ask them for the file or ask them to reupload it so all can share it again.

Yes, I am aware of the dreadful crash. I will try to make lovebed recolors and I have downloaded the lovebed yesterday. I hope my lovebed recolors will be fine tonight or tomorrow morning. I will figure it out how to put my recolors into my old lovebed recolors thread without uploading. :)

I have successfully updated my two threads in the lost threads archive, but I am unable to post a message in the sticky there. I get a message saying I do not have permission to post there. Am I misunderstanding the directions? To make it clear, I am going to this thread (http://sexysims2.com/showthread.php?t=167154) and clicking on "Post Reply".

FreakyRufus, Have you tried the quick reply? :)
Edit: Maybe the quick reply will work in that thread? :)
Edit: D'OH!!! There is no quick reply in Delphy's thread. How do we make posts in that thread to update reupload files in lost threads?

where does it say that? I've searched on paypal's User Agreement and AUP pages and no where does it say anything about it can't be placed on an adult content site.
I use Paypal Donations on my site and it's an adult community (although obviously I don't have nudity directly on my site but I do allow off-site linking to it lol)

Hunter240x I plan to re upload all my files. Everything sounds easy enough like the first time I did them....everything that is except for the part about posting in the sticky. I went to the sticky in the lost thread archive forum and I didn't see a place to put anything. Maybe it's me, I could be confused.... it wouldn't surprise me!

Hmm... so this is why no one has posted in that thread...lol Glad there was a reason. I can see the "quick reply" but that must only be because I'm a mod. Unfortuantly I don't know how to fix that myself (yet) so I'll have to wait for Delphy to wake up in a few hours and have him do it. I'll post back here when he has fixed the problem.

Okay, Delphy showed/explained to me how to fix the Sticky so others can now post in it. So if you've updated your download, please post in the Sticky with a link to your thread and the download catagory it should go into. Sorry about the mix-up.

Honestly I don't know, I've never looked. But paypal not allowing donations due to adult content is why we're on sexysims2 with this content now and not still on MTS2 with an adult section :(

Paypal have a Mature Audiences Policy which states:
You may not use PayPal in the purchase or sale of, or receipt of donations for, any obscene or sexually oriented goods or services.
Here's the link for those interested(which i hope isn't too many lol) due to how boring user agreements are
http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/use/index_frame-outside&ed=mature
Though you could argue that the stuff is already available without donation thus making the donation unrelated to the content it is probably better to air on the side of caution.
But i do know that many gambling sites use paypal(Betfair being a perfect example) as a method of topping up your account and paypal have gambling in their restricted list so i would doubt its enforced.

hey sorry to hear about all that things about losing all the files and stuff...
It must have sucked...
But can I ask you something Hunter240x?
You had this heartshaped love bed...
And now it is deleted from your site....
can you put it back or send a file or something to me i really want to see what you have made...
Or is it deleted for good and you can't put it back or send it to people, in that case I'm sorry.
